Diversity and Inclusion and Early Career Female Scientists and Students Reception - $10,000 (SOLD)

A reception to celebrate all the aspects of our diversity (race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, cultural identity, disability, or socioeconomic status) in the Earth and space sciences. Having a diverse membership creates a synergy between people of different backgrounds, cultures and work values to promote innovation and creativity. Early career female scientists and students network with their peers at this event.

During this event we will collectively celebrate our accomplishments in promoting diversity and inclusion in the Earth and space sciences.

This joint reception will be hosted by the executive director/CEO of AGU, the AGU president, and the AGU president-elect.

These events have been created in partnership with several organizations. The Early Career Female Scientists and Students reception was created in partnership with the Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG) and the Earth Science Women’s Network (ESWN.) The Diversity and Inclusion reception was organized by several organizations including the American Geophysical Union, Geoscience Alliance, the International Association for Geoscience Diversity, MS PHD'S Professional Development and Mentoring Institute and the Cirrus Academy - A STEAM Charter School System, the National Science Foundation – Directorate for Geosciences, NOGLSTP, UCAR SOARS program, gAyGU, National Association for Black Geoscientists, and UNAVCO.

The combined events are expected to have an attendance of over 500 people. Light refreshments will be served at the event.

Simulation Lab Workshops - $7,500

GOLD BENEFITS - LIMITED AVAILABILITY

Each sponsoring company is encouraged to showcase how their products or services positively impact the Earth and space science community.

In this lab, sponsors will place their products in the hands of potential customers, provide education and training to potential end-users of these products, and effectively generate additional sales leads beyond their booth. The lab will be set up in a room on the exhibit hall floor with eight stations to accommodate a maximum of 80 participants per session, with a trainer from the manufacturer providing instruction at each station. Standard A/V equipment will also be provided (microphones, screen and an LCD projector). Individual timeslots are available from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM or 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. A three-hour block from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM to hold three consecutive one-hour sessions is also available

All workshop content is completely at the discretion of the sponsoring company; however, AGU encourages the presentations and workshop activities be non-commercial in nature and focus on scientific impact. AGU will promote the workshops to all registered attendees of the Fall Meeting. All sponsors will be showcased and recognized appropriately.
