Streck signs exclusive distribution agreement with Diesse
Omaha, NE – Streck, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of clinical laboratory products, and Diesse Diagnostica Senese S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer of in vitro diagnostic systems, are introducing the Diesse MINI-CUBE, the newest automated instrument for erythrocyte sedimentation rate testing in EDTA tubes, at the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo in Philadelphia, August 2-4, 2016. Streck will be the exclusive distributor of the Diesse MINI-CUBE in the United States and Canada.
The MINI-CUBE offers convenience, accuracy and safety – all in a small bench top footprint. The instrument produces ESR results directly from EDTA tubes without consuming the patient sample. The closed testing system reduces exposure to potentially infectious materials. Random access improves lab work flow as no batching is required. Results are available in 20 minutes and automatically print and transmit to LIS. The MINI-CUBE has a greater than 95% correlation to the Modified Westergren method. A barcode scanner ensures positive patient identification.
“Diesse is known by clinicians worldwide for their reliable medical devices. Their research, innovative design and continual product improvement have led to the development of the industry’s newest automated sedimentation-rate instrument,” said Connie Ryan, Streck President and CEO. “We are pleased to partner with Diesse to bring this new instrument to market in the U.S. and Canada.”
“We are pleased to start our distribution in North America with Streck. Considering Streck’s reputation in this market, we are sure that this will be a very successful partnership that we hope to extend in future to further areas of business co-operation,” said Stefano Marchese, Diesse CEO.
Diesse Diagnostica Senese S.p.A. was founded in Italy in 1982 to support the IVD market segments of hematology, seroimmunology and bacteriology.
