The American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) is now accepting poster submissions for the 2008 ACNP National Clinical Conference - Nurse Practitioners: Shaping Policy, Improving Practice. The conference will be held October 29 – November 2, 2008 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Conference Objectives:
- Provide current clinical knowledge from selected primary care and acute care areas across the lifespan;
- Explore evidence-based diagnostic evaluation, management and prescribing information in patient care across the lifespan;
- Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and clinical experiences with expert faculty involved in acute care and primary care delivery;
- Provide information on emerging trends in health systems, practice management and political issues to assist NPs and other health professionals in positioning their practice for the future of health care; and
- Challenge participants to consider the complexities of an interdisciplinary, highly complex healthcare system as it affects future roles and practice opportunities.
CEU and Pharmacology Credit
The American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) will grant continuing education (CE) credits for attending the 2008 National Clinical Conference (including Industry Sponsored Symposia and workshops). One credit is equivalent to 60 minutes of educational instruction.
ACNP is approved as a provider of CE in nursing by the Virginia Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of CE in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
