Our proposal is to consider cancer as a global public health problem.We are a regional scientific society,constituted by specialists from different disciplines,committed to the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of cancer together with important areas of cancer control, such as education, research, prevention, curability, the care of the survivors as well as palliative care, end of life and access to morphine. We consider as priorities the analysis, understanding and dissemination of the economic, legal and political aspects involved in the fight against cancer in Latin America.
