The American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine (AOAAM) is dedicated to improving the understanding of addiction as a disease, committed to attaining science-based core competencies in prevention, assessment, and treatment planning, with a leadership voice in the Osteopathic Profession for sound public policy associated with the problems of substance use disorders. AOAAM also has established a close association with the majority of osteopathic medical schools. The AOAAM Addiction Medicine Board Certification Review Course is now on-demand, presenting the vast and in-depth knowledge of top experts who cover content related to Addiction Medicine from neurobiology and genetics to opioids, substance use disorders, medical marijuana, benzodiazepines, medical co-morbidities, psychosocial treatments, prevention and more. The AOA Addiction Medicine Board Exam will be held December 7 – 13, 2020.
