Epinephrine Access & Training Program:
WAOPS, in partnership with the Dillon Mueller Memorial Fund, oversees a state-approved Anaphylaxis Training Program. This one-hour training program allows a trained community member to carry epinephrine and administer for someone in need before help can arrive.
Dillon’s Law in Wisconsin seeks to improve access to life-saving Epinephrine by allowing trained individuals to carry this medication and administer to someone in need before help can arrive.
The Dillon Mueller Memorial Fund offers the Do It for Dillon Epinephrine Certification Program to any group who is interested. They've already trained over 3,000 people across Wisconsin. These appropriately trained individuals can then carry Epinephrine and administrator to anyone in need.
The content of the course is state-approved through the Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons (WAOPS). The course lasts approximately 1 hour; is free of charge, and can be provided for any community entity or group interested in Epinephrine training. The Dillon Mueller Memorial Fund directly administers and supports these courses.
Mission
The purpose and mission of WAOPS shall be to promote the distinctive philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine in Wisconsin through continuing medical education, support for osteopathic physicians in practice, and advocacy for osteopathic medicine. In addition, WAOPS will apply osteopathic philosophy to advocate for a healthcare delivery system that maximizes the health of our communities.
