WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Didactic Abstracts

Share original research, quality-improvement projects, or clinical reviews that inform best practices in portal hypertension and embolization techniques. The best abstracts will be presented live.

Interesting Case Presentations

Present single patients or small series that highlight diagnostic challenges, procedural nuances, or unanticipated outcomes. Your case could be featured in a “Portal Hypertension Board” session.
 

Trainee Case Competition

Calling all fellows, residents, and medical students! Submit your most compelling case for a chance to present live, win a $500 prize, and receive the “Rising Star in Portal Intervention” award.

 

SUBMISSION DETAILS

The primary/submitting author will receive an email message confirming receipt of the abstract or case submission. Please notify your co-authors that the confirmation was received. If a trainee is submitting the abstract, a practicing physician is required to be listed as a senior author.

Submission Guidelines:

  • The recommended abstract or case submission length is 250 words or less, excluding the title and authors’ names.
  • Abstract and case titles should be descriptive (200 characters or less).
  • Tables and figures are not allowed.
  • Abstract topics should be related to portal intervention (e.g., embolization, TIPSS, BRTO, etc.)
  • Please only note the authors and institutions names in the specific fields within the abstract form.
  • Submissions of presentations that are commercial in nature are not allowed.
  • Submissions funded by commercial companies are allowed if their submission is presented in a scientific format without advertising and commercial support must be identified in a disclaimer at the start of the presentation.
