Alere™ i features a unique isothermal nucleic acid amplification technology, all within a self-contained test cartridge. Instead of thermal cycling, the system uses enzymes to rapidly drive the amplification process and works at a single constant temperature. This unique technology is significantly faster than other molecular methods and provides more accurate results than conventional rapid testing.

Even when starting with only a few hundred viruses or bacteria, Alere™ i amplifies the sample up to a trillion times. Revolutionary molecular amplification increases the likelihood of detection and may compensate for suboptimal sample collection.

The Afinion™ 2 analyzer makes it fast and easy to test quantitative determinations of HbA1c, Lipid Panel, ACR, and CRP*. The platform is designed to enable simple and fast on-the-spot testing in physician offices, clinics, community health centers, and hospital outpatient clinics.

Each test cartridge has been precision engineered, containing an integrated sample collection device and all necessary reagents for a single test. Erroneous results are eliminated with integrated error detection and self-check systems.

With built-in connectivity, the Afinion™ 2 Analyzer can communicate with LIS and HIS systems to share and manage data more effectively, contributing to better patient management everywhere.
