HYDRASHIFT is a proprietary analytical shifting process developed by Sebia to be used in conjunction with HYDRAGEL IF assay on HYDRASYS 2 platform. Newer treatments for multiple myeloma (MM) that use humanized monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) can interfere with the patient’s native antibodies in immunofixation assays. The HYDRASHIFT test is used to mitigate interference caused by the drug DARZALEX® (daratumumab) in patients with IgG kappa multiple myeloma. The HYDRASHIFT 2/4 daratumumab  reagent removes the IgG Kappa interference and enables the visual evaluation of the presence or absence of monoclonal proteins on the HYDRAGEL IF kits in patients with IgG kappa multiple myeloma who have received daratumumab therapy.

CAPILLARYS 3 MC2, the first automated capillary separation system with work cell capabilities to provide high-throughput testing for HbA1c or protein electrophoresis for the laboratory. The CAPILLARYS 3 MC2 combines two CAPILLARYS 3 instruments with a high capacity tube loader. The sample tube loader is designed for a walk away time from 5 hours to overnight operation. CAPILLARYS 3 MC2 provides accurate and precise results for both HbA1c and protein assays utilizing high-resolution capillary separation technology. The system can be set up as a dedicated or multi-assay system with automatic transition from assay to assay. This modular system allows for up to CAPILLARYS 3 instruments to be added for maximum throughput for HbA1c or protein (serum protein and immunotyping) testing.

Sebia’s HbA1c assay is used to monitor and diagnose patients with diabetes. Utilizing capillary separation provides high resolution with precise and accurate measurement of HbA1c while being free from interferences.
