BioFire Diagnostics provides syndromic infectious disease diagnostics by combining the ability to identify the most common causes of disease into a single PCR-based test that’s fast and accurate. The syndromic approach maximizes the chances of finding out what’s making a patient sick, providing physicians with results that enable quick patient management decisions. BioFire currently offers tests that tackle five infectious disease syndromes: respiratory, gastrointestinal, bloodstream, meningitis/encephalitis, and pneumonia infections.
