Speeding up the RT-PCR sample preparation, TANBead has rolled out its product line “Maelstrom” designed to meet the demand for automated, scalable throughput extraction devices for RNA/DNA purification.
Over the last year, we have witnessed an exponential growth of testing capacity and repurposing PCR machines to the market. One of the prominent factors of the growth in molecular diagnostics is the rapid advent of testing to detect certain infectious diseases, such as SARS-CoV-2 variants. With the patented technology which can improve the mixing efficiency of magnetic beads and increase the processing sample volume, Maelstrom 9600(M9600) has become one of the most competitive automated DNA/RNA extraction instruments. M9600 can process up to 96 samples per run, which is considered high throughput. Combining TANBead prefilled extraction reagents, the system is fully validated by many medical institutions and clinical organizations.
