Bovine gamma globulin is produced from bovine plasma during our proprietary three-step purification process, giving you an ideal non-specific binding agent and a passive blocker for even greater assay optimization. Predominantly comprised of IgG, having a molecular mass of 150 – 200kDa, the product is prepared as a low salt, lyophilized, white powder. Proliant’s Bovine Gamma Globulin aids in the prevention of non-specific binding, and as a passive blocker to address heterophilic antibodies. BGG may be used in many assay formats, either as the sole blocking agent or combined with other common blocking agents.

The same quality, safety and reliability you’ve come to expect from Proliant BSA is now available in our New Zealand origin Newborn Bovine Calf Serum (NBCS) and Adult Bovine Serum (ABS). Collected and sterile filtered to minimize endotoxin levels, Proliant’s NBCS and ABS are fully traceable and eligible for global export. The serum is thawed using a proven procedure to minimize bioburden and endotoxin. It is pooled and processed through a series of purification filters including a final sterilizing 0.2 micron filter. Virus testing for all serum adheres to OMAR and 9CFR requirements, providing you with the high quality you have come to expect from Proliant.
