  • Kendrion, a leading provider of direct operated solenoid valves, is proud to present its latest innovation, the bistable 10 mm solenoid valve 63.0, at the Clinical Lab Expo 2023. Designed to offer energy-efficient and safe control of liquids and gases in medical and analysis technology, this new valve complements Kendrion's existing range of high-performance solenoid valves.

    Efficiency and safety combined

The key feature of the 63.0 bistable solenoid valve is its ability to control the flow rate with exceptional speed and precision. Equipped with an integrated permanent magnet, the valve remains de-energized in both the open and closed states, eliminating the need for continuous power consumption. With a simple electrical impulse, the valve can be swiftly switched between the open and closed positions, ensuring rapid response times in the range of milliseconds. Moreover, the valve's remarkably low power consumption minimizes heat generation, making it an ideal energy-efficient solution for mobile and battery-supported applications in medical and analytical technology. In the event of a power failure, the valve maintains its defined, self-holding state, guaranteeing uninterrupted operation.

    Swift and precise flow control

The 63.0 bistable solenoid valve is available in both 2/2- and 3/2-way versions, offering versatility to meet specific requirements. It can be customized with common sealing materials such as NBR, EPDM, or FPM. Additionally, customers have the option to choose between a version with lead wire or a connector for PCB contacting, ensuring seamless integration into their systems.

  • Precise and reliable control of liquids and gases is essential for the high quality demands of medical and analytical technology. The 15 mm proportional valve by Kendrion is versatile and features optimal control characteristics, combining both - an unseen performance with an even higher commercial benefit.

Just in time for this year's world-leading trade fair Analytica 2022 in Munich, Kendrion has expanded the 68 series with the 15 mm proportional valve. During the production of the new valve, special attention was paid to the sliding properties of the armature, which were implemented with the help of high-tech materials and an optimized internal design. The scalable nominal orifice from 1.3 mm to 2.5 mm enables a wide range of applications for controlling and regulating gaseous media such as inert gases or medical oxygen. In addition, the 15 mm proportional solenoid valve benefits from the cost-effective, compact and long-proven design of the 68 series, which is characterized by energy-efficient and quiet control.

By means of optional control electronics, various application states can be implemented quickly and easily, be it open-loop or closed-loop operation. In the latter, the valve is controlled with a PWM signal while flow sensor or differential pressure signals serve as control parameters for the proportional valve, thus enabling very precise and reliable control.

In addition to fluid technology solutions, Kendrion also offers reliable electromagnetic components for medical and analytical technology and benefits from decades of know-how.
