AnemoCheck Home usability and method comparison studies were conducted to characterize performance and bias between a clinical hematology analyzer (A), a pointof-care HemoCue (B) assay, and AnemoCheck Home in the hands of the intended lay user. Data was collected by intended lay users (> 18 years of age with iron deficiency anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency anemia, folate/folic acid deficiency anemia, those with sickle cell, thalassemia and other chronic conditions that cause anemia and healthy control subjects), in simulated home environments. Results between the reference hematology analyzer and point-of-care HemoCue devices indicate strong correlations in performance.
