  • As next generation sequencing (NGS) use moves from a research and development focus to clinical use, the isolation of DNA or RNA from samples needs to be easy yet reliable for different sample types encountered in a typical clinical lab. Magnetic bead separation of nucleic acids based on solid phase reversible immobilization (SPRI) technology has been the choice for NGS due to its ease of use, ability to be automated, and the ability to bind total DNA, size-selected DNA, or biotinylated DNA probes.  

     

    Bangs Labs has been a pioneer in magnetic beads for DNA isolation by supporting leading NGS companies with custom reagents for their instrumentation. We offer: 

    • Magnefy™ Beads for SPRI-based DNA separation of total DNA or biotinylated DNA probes.
