• Nanoparticles for Test and Assay Research and Development (Apr 30, 2024)

  Nanoparticles are used extensively in tests or assays for biomarkers, contaminants, or infectious agents.  

  We offer nanoparticles that are available in a variety of: 

  • Assay formats such as lateral flow, turbidimetric, magnetic chemiluminescence, flow cytometric, bead-based ELISA, dipstick, or latex agglutination test (LAT).  

  • Fluorophores, visible dyes, or undyed including Europium Chelate for Lateral Flow Assays (LFAs). 

  • Diameters that provide the flexibility needed for different types of assays. 

  • Surface chemistries for conjugating different molecules to their surface.

• Lateral Flow Starter Kit and Nanoparticle Sampler Packs (Apr 30, 2024)

  Lateral flow assay research and development strategies are complicated by the need to select the right combination of wicking pad, conjugate / sample pad, and membrane in addition to identifying the best antibody, nanoparticle with either the conjugate antibody or antigen, and final detection system. Buying individual reagents can be costly and wasteful, both in time and money.  

  Bangs Labs and Ethos Biosciences have partnered together to provide cost-effective sample packs of different lateral flow reagents: 

  • Europium Chelate COOH Sampler Pack has 0.10µm, 0.20µm, 0.30µm, and 0.40µm diameter beads to optimize the flow rate. 

  • Carboxyl- or Streptavidin-coated Magnetic Particle Sample Packs in 1 or 3µm diameters and different surface textures. 

  • LFA Starter Kit includes a wick pad, 3 different conjugate or sample pads, 4 different nitrocellulose membranes, vinyl backing cards, and cassettes.

• Magnetic Particles for Nucleic Acid Isolation (Apr 30, 2024)

  As next generation sequencing (NGS) use moves from a research and development focus to clinical use, the isolation of DNA or RNA from samples needs to be easy yet reliable for different sample types encountered in a typical clinical lab. Magnetic bead separation of nucleic acids based on solid phase reversible immobilization (SPRI) technology has been the choice for NGS due to its ease of use, ability to be automated, and the ability to bind total DNA, size-selected DNA, or biotinylated DNA probes.  

   

  Bangs Labs has been a pioneer in magnetic beads for DNA isolation by supporting leading NGS companies with custom reagents for their instrumentation. We offer: 

  • Magnefy™ Beads for SPRI-based DNA separation of total DNA or biotinylated DNA probes.

• QuantumPlex™ Suspension Array for Multiplexed Assays (Apr 30, 2024)

  Interrogate multiple targets within a given sample by coating up to 10 ligands onto individual bead populations that are easily identified by standard flow cytometry.  

  QuantumPlex™ beads are:  

  • Available as polystyrene or magnetic microspheres. 

  • Coated with either streptavidin or carboxyl groups for conjugation to the ligand(s) of choice. 

  • Available in 2 diameters (5.5 and 4.5µm), each size with 5 different fluorescent intensities for a total of 10 discernable populations. 

  • Offered in single populations, 5 populations, or 10 populations.  

  • Can be designed for up to 20 discernable populations with custom formulations, preparations, and/or packaging for OEM customers. 

  • Manufactured under an ISO13485:2016 certified quality management system.

• CUT&RUN Chromatin Profiling Concanavalin A-Coated Magnetic (Apr 30, 2024)
