AAAS Research Competitiveness Program
As the world's largest general scientific society, AAAS has a commitment to strengthening STEM ecosystems. The Research Competitiveness Program (RCP) has worked for more than twenty years to provide strategic assessment, peer review, training, and programs for innovation and entrepreneurship for governments, universities, foundations, and other STEM organizations.
Last year, RCP facilitated the review of 1500 proposals and designed and led external reviews of 14 STEM programs in 9 states, Puerto Rico, and Kuwait, including an assessment of the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science’s capacity to support IT and integrate with UVA’s broader strategic plan for technology enterprises.
