South China Sea Institute of Oceanology
State Key Laboratory of Tropical Oceanography（LTO） is the first state key laboratory established by the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. LTO’s research focus is on South China Sea（SCS） Circulation and Meso- & Small-Scale Dynamical Processes, Tropical Ocean-Air Processes and Climate Effects, Eco-environmental Consequences of Dynamical Processes in Tropical Oceans, etc. We sincerely hope that with suggestions and help from our colleagues in the world our lab will become an important international research center in tropical Marine environmental science, a center for scientific training and academic exchange, and a center for marine high-tech research and development.
