UH Earth and Atmospheric Sciences is a leader in basic and applied scientific research through its students, faculty, and staff. UH is one of the most diverse research universities in the United States. Our students enjoy rigorous field experiences, world-class laboratory facilities and robust research programs alongside faculty who lead the 20 well-established laboratories and centers, and five industry-funded consortia. The Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Geology, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences, and degrees in Environmental and Earth Sciences. We have summer field camps, field-laboratory oriented undergraduate courses, and a wide-range of graduate courses. We enjoy close collaboration with top energy companies.
