University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography
The Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO) at the University of Rhode Island has established a global reputation for excellence in marine research, teaching, outreach, and exploration of the world's oceans and coasts. The school's research investigates local to global scale phenemena, providing greater breadth and depth of scientific understanding through innovative lab- and field-based projects while employing advanced real-time communications to support ship-based ocean exploration throughout the world.
GSO offers a range of degree programs: PhD and MS in Oceanography, Master of Oceanography and dual degree programs with Business and Marine Affairs. A fifth-year Master's option for URI undergraduates is also available.
