The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) is a nonprofit consortium of 115+ member colleges and universities. UCAR manages the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) — a center of research excellence in Earth system science — on behalf of the National Science Foundation. UCAR Community Programs (UCP) supports and extends the capabilities of NCAR and our academic consortium by offering a suite of innovative resources, tools, and services for the scientific community.
