Geosciences at the University of Arizona focuses on the origin and evolution of Earth and its systems from core to clouds. We study interactions between the solid Earth and the hydrosphere, biosphere, and atmosphere, the deep mantle, the dynamic lithosphere, and critical challenges of climate, energy, resources, and sustainability. We work in the stunning Sonoran Desert, and our interdisciplinary research takes us to the highest mountains, remotest oceans, the poles, and beyond.
