  • TextConnect
An innovative emergency technology supporting SMS messages to PSAPs via voice relay, connecting millions of individuals currently without text to 9-1-1 service....

  • Widespread reliance on texting has made access to emergency services via text a modern necessity. Until Text to 9-1-1 is implemented universally, millions of people are without the ability to report an emergency to 9-1-1 through a text message. Additionally, individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking still do not have an up-to-date avenue to access 9-1-1.

TextConnect fills these gaps and connects the public to this life-changing solution!

Here’s what the process looks like:

    • A simple text requesting help is sent from 9-1-1 from a mobile device.
    • The Communication Assistant (CA) receives and voices the emergency text.
    • A PSAP operator listens to the voiced text, responds through the CA, identifies location and dispatches first responders in a matter of seconds.
