Expanesthetics is the leader in inhaled anesthetic innovation. We are using novel screening technology to look for new inhaled anesthetics with side effect profiles superior to today’s drugs. Our screening technology allows us to search for new drugs in chemical classes never before extensively explored for anesthetics. So far, our pre-clinical research has revealed compounds that may turn out to have compelling characteristics such as cardiovascular stability, kinetics comparable to xenon, and unique physical properties. We believe that finding anesthetics that lack the undesirable effects of today’s agents (or anesthetics that have exciting new benefits such as analgesia) could revolutionize the field of inhaled anesthesia.
