My clay sculptures evolve from a combination of different plant parts and oceanic creatures created in clay. Low fire clay is either thrown on the wheel or hand built and altered to form the new life form sculptures. Textures and color are positioned in a way to emphasize contrasts like textured & smooth shiny and dull.
The satin & golden lotus flower has a black and 22k gold center part.
The red poppy has five layers of the red underglaze hand painted & fired on before the glaze layer is painted & fired.
