Hello! My name is Jason Benkendorf and I am a green woodturner. All of my work starts straight from a log. The work is heavy and wet. Nothing better than turning wet wood. I first use a chainsaw and the a bandsaw to get the piece to a manageable size. Next is turning which is a process in and of itself. I then let the piece dry. This is the part of the process that I have no control. The last steps are sanding and then applying a finish.
