 Press Releases

  • INDIANAPOLIS - StartGuides will exhibit at the 148th NGAUS General Conference & Exhibition, August 28-31, 2026, at Booth 1705, demonstrating MATrIX, the platform that gives National Guard units immediate access to a library of hundreds of validated, interactive equipment guides built across all branches of service.

Most of the equipment in a Guard formation was fielded first somewhere else - which means, in many cases, the guide already exists. With a MATrIX license, a unit doesn't buy one manual for one system. Every soldier gets the full StartGuides library: step-by-step Performance Support Apps (PSAs) covering setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, each validated against source technical documentation and designed to deliver the right answer in three clicks or less.

For the Guard, that helps solve the drill-weekend challenge. A system gets fielded, new equipment training ends, and the operator may not touch it again for a month. By the next drill, the knowledge is gone. MATrIX puts current, validated answers in every soldier's hands at the point of need - browser-based or offline on Android and Windows, in the motor pool, the field, or the armory.

MATrIX also hosts workflow modules built to a unit's own processes. The certification module converts paper-based certification into digital, auto-aggregating workflows - giving commanders visibility into crew and operator certification status that today lives on spreadsheets and clipboards.

"For an active-duty program office, we build the guide," said Alex Panosian, CEO of StartGuides and a West Point graduate and Army veteran. "For the Guard, the math is different. The library already exists. One decision gives every soldier in the formation the answer to hundreds of systems - and we can build the certification and training workflows around it. That's readiness a commander can actually see."

  • StartGuides' MATrIX and PSA Product Overview

MATrIX is StartGuides' knowledge platform for the point of need. One license gives every soldier in a unit access to StartGuides' full library of validated, interactive equipment guides - hundreds of Performance Support Apps (PSAs) built across branches of service, covering setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with the right answer in three clicks or less. Because most Guard equipment was fielded first in the active components, the guide a unit needs often already exists: MATrIX makes it available on day one, with version control so operators always train on current, validated content - not an outdated PDF on a shared drive.

MATrIX also hosts workflow modules tailored to a unit's own processes. The certification module, now in testing, turns paper certification processes into digital, auto-aggregating workflows and gives commanders real-time visibility into certification status across the formation.

Where a guide doesn't yet exist, StartGuides builds it. PSAs run in a browser or fully offline on Android and Windows, and every guide can be kept current through App Sustainment Kits - firm-fixed-price annual sustainment as equipment and procedures change. Optional COTS tablets and implementation packages make fielding turnkey.

One purchase. The whole library. Workflows built for your formation. Booth 1705.
