OCB is a network of nearly 2,000 scientists working across disciplines of ocean chemistry, biology, and physics to understand the ocean’s role in the global carbon cycle and the response of marine ecosystems and biogeochemical cycles to environmental change. As a scientific coordination body, OCB works with scientists and federal agencies to cultivate new research areas; organize community workshops and activities; and communicate scientific outcomes of its network as broadly as possible.
