SSO 2020 Cancelled and Converted to Virtual Meeting Format
In consideration of the many challenges presented by COVID-19 along with SSO’s objective of ensuring the health and safety of SSO 2020 attendees, the SSO Executive Council has made the difficult decision to forgo the live meeting planned for August and instead convert SSO 2020 to a virtual format.
Please plan to join your colleagues for a live, virtual event the evenings of August 17th and 18th. The SSO 2020 Scientific Program Committee (SPC) is planning a virtual meeting with an abbreviated program schedule that will include general sessions, featured lecturers and various disease-site sessions. Select sessions will be recorded and available on demand. The SPC is hard at work reshaping the program and additional details along are forthcoming.
SSO Offers Virtual Meeting Free to all SSO Members
SSO members (in good standing) who are currently registered for SSO 2020 may participate and access all virtual meeting content for free and non-SSO members may participate for a nominal fee of $75. All registered attendees will have the option of receiving a refund or donating all or a portion of their previous registration payment to the SSO Research and Education Fund. Details regarding the refund/donation process will be sent in the coming weeks.
SSO 2020 Housing
If your SSO 2020 housing reservation was made through the SSO 2020 website, no further action is needed as your room reservation will be cancelled.
