  • ADVIA Centaur® Active B-12
The ADVIA Centaur® Active-B12 assay measures holoTC, the only form of vitamin B12 that is taken up and used by cells of the body. Several studies support that holoTC is a better indicator of vitamin B12 status than total serum cobalamin. Optimize your patients’ experience by identifying anemia sooner using a better indicator of vitamin B12 status....

  • Vitamin B12 plays an important role in DNA synthesis and neurologic function. Deficiency can lead to a wide spectrum of hematologic and neuropsychiatric disorders that can often be revesed by early diagnosis and prompt treatment. The ADVIA Centaur® Active-B12* assay from Siemens Healthcare measures holotranscobalamin (holoTC), the only form of vitamin B12 that is taken up and used by cells of the body. A number of studies have been published to support that holoTC is a better indicator of vitamin B12 status than total serum cobalamin. Optimize your patients’ diagnostic experience by identifying anemia sooner using a better indicator of vitamin B12 status.
