Patio™ DEP(DownㆍEdwardㆍPatau) Detection Kit (Jul 23, 2019)

Seasun Biomaterials launched prenatal screening kit for Down, Edward, Patau syndrome utilizing real time PCR. This test is based on Patio^TM technology, which detects chromosomal abnormality of fetal DNA that exists in maternal amniotic fluid with high sensitivity and accuracy. It acquired IVD class 3 certification from Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in December, 2018. It needs 3 hours to conduct the test, and 23 samples can be analyzed simultaneously. Seasun Biomaterials also launched non-invasive prenatal screening service using circulating cell-free fetal DNA in maternal plasma.

U-TOP™ MSI (microsatellite instability) Plus Detection Kit (Jul 23, 2019)

U-TOP™ MSI Plus Detection Kit is a real time PCR-based product, which detects microsatellite instability (MSI) in circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). This technology has been proven to be able to amplify unstable microsatellite repeat sequence in ctDNA more efficiently and detect them by 0.05%. The blood-based test with “U-TOP^TM MSI Plus” is non-invasive, rapid, and precise. It can be especially used to screen patients who have difficulty in biopsy or who have metastatic cancer and want to monitor the cancer development

The test results are reported after analyzing 5 MSI markers (Quasi mononucleotide markers), and MSI status gets to be classified into MSI-H, MSI-L, or MSS (MSI stable). The running time is 3.5 hours excluding DNA prep, and results are automatically reported with MeltingArray™ Analyzer.

Seasun Biomaterials has launched the first line of MSI detection kits targeting tumor tissue in 2017, the first MSI detection product is based on real-time PCR approved by KFDA and CE-marked.
