• Clippard High Pressure Proportional Pressure Controls (Jun 07, 2022)

  Known for reliability, innovation and focus on miniature pneumatics, Clippard’s new Cordis HP500 pressure controls utilize the proven EV line of electronic valves allowing for steady, repeatable downstream pressure under static conditions. The result, a precise linear pressure control within a closed-loop system.

  The Cordis uses a microcontroller, integrated pressure sensor, and two Clippard EV electronic valves. The inlet valve is connected to the moderately regulated supply pressure and the exhaust valve is connected to a port that vents excess pressure to atmosphere. Once a command is increased, the inlet valve opens up to allow supply pressure to pass over the sensor element which provides an active feedback for the micro-controller to satisfy the set point in the process. If at any point the sensor detects a value higher than the set point, the exhaust valve will modulate open to vent off the excess pressure to maintain a stable and accurate control pressure in the process.

  The Cordis HP500 pressure regulator is adaptable to a variety of sensors that can close the loop around pressure.

• Clippard Electronic Flow Controllers (Jun 07, 2022)

  The Cordis flow controller utilizes an extremely fast-reacting mems technology sensor upstream from a proportional valve, with the option of a DR-2 regulator for accurate and precise pressure control in a small package. Unlike other mass flow controllers that require a 30-minute warm-up time, large differential pressures, and limited flow ranges, the Cordis requires less than one minute warm-up, its pressure drop is ≤14" H2O, and it features flow ranges as low as 0 to 30 sccm. Standard control options include 0.2 to 10 VDC, 4.32 to 20 mA, and 3.3 VDC serial.

  The Cordis flow controller is adaptable to a variety of sensors that can close the loop around flow.

• Clippard NIV Series PTFE or PEEK Media Isolation Valves (Jun 07, 2022)

  The Clippard NIV Series Media Isolation Valve is a solenoid-operated device that uses a flexible diaphragm to isolate the actuation mechanism from the fluid path. Media isolation valves are commonly used for a wide variety of applications, including those that require precise, repeatable dispensing of media for analytical instrumentation.

  All wetted areas of the valve are either PTFE or PEEK, making this series ideal for use with corrosive media. A unique feature of the NIV Series is the one-piece valve stem that functions as a sealing membrane while also supporting and centralizing the poppet in the seating area. This multi-functional poppet/diaphragm/stem results in a simplified design with fewer parts (only two for the 2-Way and three for the 3-Way), longer life and zero dead volume. Choose from four orifice sizes available as 2-Way Normally-Closed, 2-Way Normally-Open, or 3-Way Selector/Diverter.

  Clippard’s DVP series proportional solenoid valves are precision-built 2-way  control valves, utilizing a unique, patented valving principle. This powerful series was designed as the next generation of the well-known and trusted original EV line of Clippard “Mouse” valves. With a life of over a billion cycles, a solid, compact design, and extremely high flow rates, these valves are suitable for many applications across numerous industries.
