• Tempus600® Specimen Transportation System (May 13, 2022)
  The SARSTEDT Tempus600^® is a dedicated transportation system for sending specimen tubes quickly and reliably to the laboratory. Unlike traditional pneumatic tube systems which require samples to be batched and laboriously packed into carriers, sample tubes are placed directly into a sending station and arrive within seconds to a laboratory receiving station for immediate processing. Samples arrive continuously as sent, reducing peaks for faster and more predictable workflow. An optional connection module enables tubes to be directly loaded into laboratory automation, such as the SARSTEDT BL 1200 bulk loader and sorter. The Tempus600^® system and pipelines require very little space, and installation takes only 2 weeks.

• Microvette® APT Automated Capillary Blood Tube (May 13, 2022)

  SARSTEDT Microvette^® APT capillary blood collection tubes are designed for automated blood analysis. Available in 250 µl and 500 µl options, Microvette® APT tubes have K₂EDTA preparation, standardized 13 x 75 mm dimensions with ample barcode label space, and a robust sealing cap with pierceable membrane for direct sampling.

  The Microvette^® APT 250 features an end-to-end capillary for a precise 250 µl blood sample. The Microvette^® APT 500 enables collection of 250-500 µl using the entire tube rim. After collection, the membrane cap attaches securely to the tube with an audible click. Microvette^® APT tubes meet the P 650 leak-testing requirements for shipment and are compatible with the SARSTEDT Tempus600^® and pneumatic transport systems.

  SARSTEDT has launched a new US webshop for direct online ordering of its labware consumables, specimen collection devices, and small instruments. • S-Monovette® - Reduce Hemolysis from I.V. Catheters (May 13, 2022)

  The SARSTEDT S-Monovette^® is an innovative, enclosed multiple-sampling blood collection system.  Recent studies conclude that the system may be used to significantly reduce hemolysis in blood samples collected from intravenous catheters.  Unlike traditional vacuum tubes, S-Monovette^® tubes can be gently filled by manual aspiration to minimize shear stress associated with vacuum tubes and I.V. catheters.  Compared to untreated syringes, S-Monovette^® tubes contain a range of additives and can be processed directly with no transfer, maintaining a closed connection.

• DC/RC FLEX 900 (May 16, 2022)

  The DC/RC FLEX 900 combines pre- and post-analytics in one compact stand-alone instrument, providing a cost effective alternative to complete automation.  The FLEX 900 enables simple, rapid and safe identification, recapping, and decapping of up to 800 tubes per hour, reducing the risk of repetitive motion injuries and accidental exposures.  Multiple tube types can be processed in mixed operation.  Push, stopper, and screw caps are safely removed and hygienically disposed.  The instrument recaps with either a universal push cap or screw cap for archiving.  The FLEX 900 can be designed as a decapper or recapper only, with subsequent retrofitting capability.
