• Creative Diagnostics Introduces New Pseudotyped GFP HPV (Aug 10, 2023)

  Creative Diagnostics is pleased to announce the introduction of its new Pseudotyped GFP HPV, a valuable tool for researchers studying human papillomavirus (HPV).

  HPV consists of more than 100 genotypes and can cause cervical cancer and its precursors. Currently, 12 HPV types (16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, and 59) have been classified as human carcinogens, and an additional 8 types have been classified as possible human carcinogens. Creative Diagnostics can provide up to 15 different types of HPV pseudoviruses, including all 12 oncogenic HPV types.

  Our pseudotyped GFP HPV production is based on transfection of the 293 cell line 293FT, which has been modified to express high levels of SV40 large T antigen. The cells are co-transfected with codon-modified papillomavirus pod genes L1 and L2 and a pseudo-genomic plasmid containing the SV40 replication source. Pseudovirus (PsV) encapsidated with a GFP reporter plasmid can be used to develop high-throughput in vitro neutralization assays in a 96-well plate format.

  In addition, Creative Diagnostics offers a broad range of replication-incompetent pseudotyped reporter viruses that express surface proteins of various target viruses and contain reporter genes such as luciferase, GFP and RFP.
