  EKF Diagnostics announces the launch of its new EKF Link digital connectivity solution for the secure management of point-of-care (POC) analyzers and associated data on one centralized platform. An open, flexible solution, EKF Link middleware can be interfaced to all vendors’ POC analyzers, including EKF’s own portfolio, to enable real-time remote management of data, such as patient test results, QC results, operator management and analyzer configuration. EKF’s portfolio of POC diagnostic devices include Hemo Control and DiaSpect Tm hemoglobin analyzer ranges, as well as Quo-Lab and Quo-Test HbA1c analyzers. All of these can now be digitally connected from anywhere and securely accessed remotely at any time using EKF Link, thereby enhancing their capabilities.

• EKF introduces hand-held hemoglobin analyzer with secure POC connectivity (Jul 24, 2024)

  DiaSpect Tm POC hemoglobin analyzer now powered by EKF Link digital connectivity solution. The hand-held hemoglobin analyzer now connects securely to EKF Link, the company’s own point-of-care (POC) middleware, enabling additional features including a calculated hematocrit value and data management. Available globally, the DiaSpect Tm has received an IVD CE-mark, FDA clearance and is registered in many more countries across all continents.Ensuring test results are stored and accessed securely on a centralized platform, the enhanced DiaSpect Tm can now be connected to the recently released EKF Link middleware. This expands on the ever-growing list of analyzers that are compatible with the new state-of-the-art POC data management platform. EKF’s DiaSpect Tm is also now equipped with Bluetooth, internal storage for 4000 tests and QC results, as well as the capability to provide a calculated hematocrit value alongside the usual hemoglobin result.

• EKF launches handheld veterinary lactate analyzer (Jul 24, 2024)

  Lactate Scout Vet offers precise, easy-to-use, handheld lactate test for small and large animal practices. EKF Diagnostics, a global in vitro diagnostics company, announces the launch of a new version of its Lactate Scout analyzer, designed specifically for use in veterinary settings. Lactate Scout Vet uses the same proven technology that was initially developed to provide elite sports coaches and athletes with a precise and easy-to-use handheld lactate test. The new Lactate Scout Vet features species selection for dogs, horses, pigs and cattle, making it ideal for use in both small and large animal practices. Lactate testing is increasingly used in the veterinary clinic for prognosis and diagnosis in a number of clinical presentations. It can be applied as a rapid triage and risk stratification tool assigning higher and lower risk categories. The availability of reliable handheld lactate analyzers, such as EKF’s new Lactate Scout Vet, providing validated results comparable to laboratory-based testing, means that fast, cost effective and near-patient results are now readily accessible as a valuable aid for the veterinarian.

  EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc, the AIM-listed global diagnostics business, announces the launch of its new Biosen C-Line, an advanced version of its industry leading rapid benchtop glucose and lactate analyzer. The new and updated analyzer has been designed to enhance usability with the latest colour, touch screen and advanced connectivity, enabling the Biosen C-Line to seamlessly connect with hospital and laboratory IT systems, via EKF Link, to ensure patient results are quickly and securely available to clinicians. The Biosen C-Line analyzer measures glucose and lactate levels in whole blood, plasma and serum, using enzymatic sensor technology to give highly precise results, less than 3% CV.
