  • Innovative Solution: Luer-Lock Blood Collection Needle (kbmed.com)
We are delighted to share some exciting news regarding our product development. We have always pursued a market-oriented approach, and in alignment with this commitment, we have been diligently working on developing the blood collection needle with Luer Lock connection in response to a request from a renowned medical consumables supplier in FL, United States.
"Over the past few years, our R&D department has dedicated extensive efforts to perfecting the blood collection needle with the Luer Lock connection, significantly enhancing the reliability of the connection between the needle and the hubs of catheters or syringes while addressing concerns associated with the Luer Slip connection commonly used in the market," stated Jeffrey. F, director of the R&D Department at KBMED.

"The Luer Lock connection ensures correct connections even in complex working environments. It has a threaded tip that securely locks the needle or other medical attachments to ensure a leak-proof, tighter connection than Luer Slip. The threaded design prevents accidental detachment during medical procedures, ensuring safety and minimizing the risk of contamination, providing healthcare professionals with added convenience and peace of mind." continued Jeffrey. F.

ISO 80369 standards have been developed to prevent misconnection between small-bore connectors in different applications. ISO 80369-7 Connectors for Intravascular (IV) or Hypodermic Applications applies to Luer connectors and is a new medical small-bore connector standard intended to reduce this risk.

"Recently, KBMED's new blood collection needle and relevant products with Luer Lock connection have been successfully launched and are now available in the market. Furthermore, we have entered into long-term cooperation agreements with multiple customers. " Petty, KBMED's manager. We extend our heartfelt thanks for your continued support and trust in KBMED. Stay tuned for more updates on our latest product research developments and partnerships.

  • Terumo Visited Our Production Center (kbmed.com)

We are excited to share some wonderful news from KBMED. Recently, we had the honor of hosting a delegation from Terumo Corporate for a two-day standard operation process (SOP) audit at our production site. The delegation's focus was on our infusion sets, syringe and needle production, as well as cleanroom and testing facilities.

Terumo (TSE: 4543) is a global leader in medical technology and has been committed to “Contributing to Society through Healthcare ” for 100 years. Based in Tokyo and operating globally, Terumo employs more than 30,000 associates worldwide to provide innovative medical solutions in more than 160 countries and regions.

During their visit, we engaged in discussions regarding potential further product development cooperation. We are pleased to report that our guests from Terumo expressed great satisfaction with our production quality control measures and stringent cleanroom protocol.
One of the long-term cooperation projects between KBMED and Terumo is the pump Infusion sets. According to Jeffery F, R&D Director at KBMED, "The infusion pump is an essential device for the pump-controlled delivery of parenteral nutrition and fluid maintenance in a clinical environment. In some applications, a drip sensor is used to monitor the dripping status inside the drip chamber, ensuring safe and more accurate delivery." He added, "KBMED's customized infusion set is a critical component of an infusion pump system. Its purpose is to deliver fluids, such as medications or nutrients, from the infusion pump to the patient's body in a controlled manner. The set typically consists of tubing, a drip chamber, a flow regulator, and a needle or catheter for insertion into the patient. The flow regulator controls the rate at which the fluid is delivered, ensuring that the patient receives the correct dosage over a specified period."
Lastly, we are truly grateful for the continued trust and long-term partnership with Terumo and all our customers. As we look toward the future, we remain committed to delivering innovative solutions and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
