ECU’s Integrated Coastal Programs (coastal.ecu.edu) includes the new Department of Coastal Studies and is home to the Integrated Coastal Sciences PhD program. The Integrated Coastal Sciences PhD program is an innovative research-based doctoral degree in which students use a coupled natural and social science approach to address complex problems in coastal areas.
