Scientific Aviation is an airborne atmospheric research company operating through North America and Europe. SciAv operates four fixed-wing, single-engine certified aircraft that have been modified for atmospheric research, as well as a fleet of unmanned drones. These versatile platforms have been used for applications ranging from air quality and chemistry, to emissions quantification, and satellite validation. Using onboard measurements of wind and a variety of trace gases, these airborne platforms are capable of measuring emissions ranging from individual point sources to large scale basin-wide emissions.
