SPOHNC
Support for People with Oral and Head and Neck Cancer (SPOHNC) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1991 by an oral cancer survivor. SPOHNC seeks to address the medical, emotional, and practical needs of oral and head and neck cancer patients. SPOHNC's mission is dedicated to raising awareness and meeting the needs of oral and head and neck cancer patients through its resources, programs and publications.
SPOHNC offers over 100 support groups throughout the country, a National Survivor Volunteer Network of 225+ Champions of Hope matching program including caregiver volunteers, a monthly newsletter distributed to over 13,000, and additional educational materials and publications essential to one's journey with head and neck cancer. SPOHNC also offers access to a clinical trial navigation service where patient navigators help patients with their search for a clinical trial. SPOHNC shares access to educational webinars on topics of great concern for patients diagnosed with this devastating disease.
