The ECD Global Alliance is a non-profit dedicated to awareness, support, education, and research related to Erdheim-Chester Disease (ECD). ECD is a rare disorder with no known cause, classified as a histiocytic neoplasm. The majority of patients are adults (60% men), with some children affected. Each patient can present differently. Over 50% of patients test positive for the BRAF V600E mutation. Other less common mutations: MAP2K1, PIK3CA, KRAS, NRAS, and ARAF.
