Yuemin Xin was born in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, in China. She has engaged in a lifelong pursuit to perfect her painting and calligraphy. Yuemin Xin and Kerry Kirkpatrick are collaborators in digital works combining cultural knowledge with traditional and digital painting techniques. In 2012, Yuemin became the last apprentice of painting master Zhang Zhishu, the great-grandson of Yehenara Natong. This line of painters and painting style dates back to the Qing Dynasty.
