  • Luxurious Angora Pelts
Luxurious Angora goat pelts are very soft and supple. The hide was garment tanned rather than taxidermy tanned....

  • This luxurious Angora goat pelt is very soft and supple. The hide was garment tanned rather than taxidermy tanned. The mohair is 3+ inches long, fine, soft, lustrous, fluffy, and silky with natural curvy locks style. It is bright white with a pleasant clean smell. Great to throw on a chair to sit and feel in the lap of well being or pull over your body to take a nap. It is approximately 37 inches long and 27 inches wide (see pictures.) bald spots, soft leather.

This Angora goat was not raised and slaughtered for its hide. She lived a long happy life roaming freely on succulent pastures producing mohair and Angora kids. She lived naturally on an animal welfare approved farm with 300 Angora herdmates. Her fleece was shorn twice each year to make high end mohair yarn for the fashion industry. With her age, her feet were weak and sore, she lost her teeth and couldn’t graze and eat adequately to sustain life, so rather than let her expire, her meat was harvested for human consumption and her spirit continues with her lustrous coat being appreciated by you and yours.

This pelt was sustainably produced and processed in rural Pennsylvania, USA.

  • Luxurious Mohair Socks reward your feet w/ comfort
Natural mohair fibers resonate with our cellular structure and reflect our energy, reducing fatigue and improving circulation....

  • The Reward line of socks reward your feet with comfort.  Mohair socks are silky, cushiony, yet springy, and so comfortable that feet relax. Natural mohair fibers resonate with our cellular structure and reflect our energy, reducing fatigue and improving circulation.  Due to its smooth surface mohair creates less chafing and blistering than other fibers because it more easily glides against the skin.  Mohair conducts moisture very easily, so it wicks sweat away from the skin to the outer surface of the sock where it can either evaporate or pass through breathable outer footwear.  Plus, they are naturally antibacterial thereby reducing foot odor.  The color is natural (not dyed) from a little black sheep wool.

Our ankle socks are perfect for wear in running shoes, sneakers and open toed sandals.  They are also wonderful as bed socks! ?These are made with our Reward 70% Mohair/30% Superwash Merino yarn with a little bit of lycra and have reinforced heels and toes. This popular style is now offered in a dyed-black version.

  • Luxurious Mohair/Merino Hats and Headbands
Our hats are made of Mohair and Superfine Merino Wool. A must have for every winter season. The headbands are so soft and warm; and wide enough for ear and forehead coverage....

  • You know the virtues of mohair verses wool.  Wool has microscopic scales which can cause itchiness or shrinkage (much less if it is very fine wool – ours is less than 18 micron wool.)  Mohair is smoother, softer, more durable, more washable and holds dye better than any other fiber.  Our super-kid mohair is as smooth as cashmere.

As you know, mohair is the most durable natural fiber…the old train seats and the old car seats and the WWI military uniforms were mohair because it was the most durable fiber at that time.  Our Mohair products wear a long time.

Our production is all American fiber with the mohair coming from our sustainable 300 Angora goats farm in central Pennsylvania.  Come visit the farm.  Our very fine merino wool comes from sustainable ranches in Texas and Western United States.  Our farm and products are PA Preferred and Animal Welfare Approved.  We are members of Made in America Movement.  Our narrative of sustainable farming is traceable through our website and social media.

The farm is a finalist for the Pennsylvania Leopold Conservation Award.  Fiber from small ruminants is the epidemy of sustainability using renewable resources - nothing more than sunshine, air and water with photosynthesis producing grasses and forbs.  Obviously, this is low carbon footprint, but the grazing-ruminants farming system enhances soil health and sequesters carbon in the soil.  You can recall our story of sustainable farming with your products.
