Silk Creations by Janey creates one of a kind, hand painted silk art. White silk is stretched on frame like a canvas then hand painted by brush. All designs are freehand drawn creating a unique, one of a kind piece. All dyes are applied by hand and by brush. Up to 40 layers of dye are applied to each piece to create deep, rich colors. Once painted, the dyes are set on the silk using a lengthy steaming process. Each piece is washed several times to remove excess dyes so each piece is washable.
