My designs are based upon the scientific convergence of glass and metal. I merge glass beads, enameling, and metalwork. I handcraft each glass bead on an oxygen-propane torch using a technique called Lampworking. Powdered glass, known as enamel, is fused to copper in a kiln or with a torch depending on the desired effect. Finally, I manipulate metals using techniques including hammering, stamping, dies and doming blocks, drilling, riveting, soldering, forging, and bezel setting.
