The canvas is first treated to many layers of watered down paint.  Next I've done mark making which only peeks through the many layers of blues in multiple shades, yellows, golds, beiges and white.  The strokes are large and unplanned...almost like a stream of consciousness.  This piece really flowed nicely.  I enjoyed working on it.  My intention was to create a relaxing not busy piece for the bedroom.  It took a few weeks to complete.  Once done I varnished the surface to protect it.  It's wired and ready to hang.  Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by me.  I also sign each piece on the back of the canvas.

This wood panel has multiple layers of paint and paint additives all on a very sturdy wood panel.  It's very vibrant and will work most anywhere in the home or office.  Wood also works well on a covered porch. 

This is another one of my favorite pieces.  It's actually a painting over another painting.  I'll often sit with a piece for a few months...decide to change it and it becomes an entirely different picture.  This is a mixed media piece with lots of texture.  The last layer is multiple strokes of watered down acrylic...another of those magically flowing pieces.
