I became a textile artist by accident. I've always loved being an art/craft hobbyist but my professional life took the form of clinical social worker and, later, jewelry & accessories rep. In 2004, I made a scarf to try out a new sewing product. While working in a friend's Dallas showroom, buyers kept asking where they could get the scarf I was wearing for their stores. My friend said, "You better make samples for the showroom." Now I make art full time. I love what I do.
