Original, hand painted silk products. White silk is stretched onto wood frames. Once stretched, all designs are free hand drawn and painted by brush. To create deep rich colors, up to 40 layers of dye are used. After painting, the dyes are set by a specialized steaming process. The silk is then washed in a four step wash process. Once washed, the scarves and shawls are pressed to complete. The silk for the Kimono jackets are then laid out, the pattern is cut and the jackets are then sewn.
