  • Katherine -Sterling Silver Mobius Earrings
    Classically designed these versatile Mobius Dangle Earrings are based on a mathematical object discovered by Johann Benedict Listing and August Ferdinand Möbius in 1858.

    Shown in oxidized sterling silver. Available in polished silver....

    • The earrings are formed by twisting 2MM wide flat metal in opposite directions and then soldered close.  A 20 gauge sterling wire is then soldered and formed for the ear wire.   The oxidation is achieved by dipping the metal in Liver of Sulfur, then polishing it in a tumbler.

    Introducing Mokume Gane jewelry. Mokume Gane is an ancient Japanese technique of laminating alternating layers of copper and sterling silver metal, then patterning to bring out a wood-grain effect....

    • These earrings are made from 16 layers of copper and sterling silver which is then fused to form a thick billet.   It is then compressed using hammers and a rolling mill to reduce the layer to 1mm thick.   It is then patterned using drills and other tools to bring out a wood-grain effect.
