Official Service Contractors

As you plan for the TRB 2018 Annual Meeting, you may receive solicitations from publications and vendors that are not affiliated with TRB 2017, Transportation Research Board, SPARGO, Inc. or any contracted organization therin. Please be advised that the TRB does not sell exhibitor lists or contact information to anyone. This information is securely provided to TRB Official Contractors to inform exhibitors of show related services. Solicitations from unofficial vendors are often the result of obtaining public information from the Internet. The TRB partners with select vendors to produce our premiere conference and expo and can intervene on your behalf if any customer service issues arise.

Beware! Scam Warnings

Hotel

It has come to our attention that several companies are inaccurately representing themselves as the "housing vendor" for the TRB Annual Meeting and are contacting individuals about the TRB Annual Meeting, soliciting business. Specifically, they will offer to make hotel reservations within the TRB Annual Meeting block on your behalf, or even offer you a discount from the TRB Annual Meeting rate. The TRB has approved SPARGO, Inc. as the official housing bureau for the TRB Annual Meeting. They are responsible for coordinating all hotel reservation requests. If you are contacted by a hotel pirating company or any housing group other than SPARGO, Inc., recognize that they are not endorsed by the TRB, and despite their claims, they do not have access to our negotiated discounted rates. If you provide your credit card information to any of these unauthorized vendors, your card may be charged, but you may not have a reservation with you arrive in Washington D.C. This is a scam. Reservations for the TRB Annual Meeting should be made directly with SPARGO, Inc. by following the link of the TRB Annual Meeting website.

Attendee Lists

You may have received one or more emails from various sources claiming to have the TRB Annual Meeting attendee list for purchase. Please don't fall for this scam. Only TRB staff and SPARGO, Inc., our official registration company, have access to the registration list. No company is authorized to distribute or sell any lists for the event. The TRB cannot be held responsible for any interaction or sale with these fraudulent company(s). If you are contacted by a company claiming to have access to the TRB Annual Meeting attendee list, please delete the email and do not reply, or you will receive more scam offers. We take this matter very seriously and will do whatever possible to protect our exhibitors, partners and attendees.  If you are interested in opportunities to reach meeting attendees, we encourage you to explore our sponsorship opportunities or patron progam.
