Policies for Space Purchased before July 21


If you signed up and paid a deposit, prior to July 21, 2020, to exhibit at the original in-person event, you have the option to:

  • Transition your existing payments to a virtual booth or a patron package for 2021,
  • Apply your payments to your exhibit or patron package at the 2022 TRB Annual Meeting, or
  • Receive a full refund of your payments.

Please used this 2021 Exhibitor/Patron Application and Credit/Refund Authorization form to specify what you would like to do. 

Transitioning

If you transition your existing payments to a virtual booth or Patron package at the 2021 meeting:

  • If you also exhibit in 2022, your rate for 2022 will be the original 2021 in-person exhibit space rate ($38 per square foot), so you won’t be affected by any price increase.
  • You will earn four (4) priority points for future booth selection, which is double the number typically earned for a 10’ x 10’ booth at an in‐person TRB Annual Meeting. (Priority points determine the order in which exhibitors choose future space.)
  • If you’ve already paid more than the 2021 fee, you can opt to receive a refund of the overpayment. Or, you can apply the overpayment to your booth or patron package at the 2022 TRB Annual Meeting and receive one additional priority point for future booth selection.

Credits

If you choose not to exhibit or be a patron in 2021, but to apply your payments toward the 2022 meeting:

  • TRB will honor the original 2021 in-person exhibit space rate ($39 per square foot) for 2022 exhibit space to which you apply the payment already made for 2021 (even if it was only a partial payment), so you won’t be affected by any price increase.
  • For applying the credit to 2022, you will receive one (1) priority point to be added to the total priority points you had earned as of the 2020 Annual Meeting. (Priority points determine the order in which exhibitors choose future space.)
  • You will be invited to participate in the 2022 booth selection process based on your total priority points as of the 2021 Annual Meeting.

Refunds

If you choose not to exhibit or be a patron in 2021, and request a refund of your 2021 payments:

  • TRB will provide a full refund for payments made for any 2021 space purchased.
  • Requesting a refund for 2021 will not reduce any priority points that you have already earned through the 2020 Annual Meeting. (Priority points determine the order in which exhibitors choose future space.)
  • If you request a refund for 2021, you will be invited to participate in the 2022 booth selection process, based on the total priority points that you had earned as of the 2020 Annual Meeting.
  • You will not lock in the 2022 exhibit rate, and you will not earn the additional priority points.
