The ARK Fentanyal assay is in development as an Alliance Application on Siemens Healthineers chemistry systems including the Atellica® CH Analyzer. The assay measures fentanyl in human urine. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid similar to morphine, prescribed for patients with chronic pain, post-operative pain, or breakthrough pain in cancer patients.... More Info Less Info







The ARK Fentanyl assay is in development as an Alliance Application on Siemens Healthineers chemistry systems including the Atellica^® CH Analyzer. It measures fentanyl in human urine. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid similar to morphine, prescribed for patients with chronic pain, post-operative pain, or  treat breakthrough pain in cancer patients. The ARK Fentanyl assay demonstrates cross-reactivity with norfentanyl. Detecting norfentanyl is clinically important due to the quick metabolization of fentanyl into norfentanyl, its major metabolilte. The potency of fentanyl and the alarming increase of misuse and abuse poses an overdose danger, often unintentional.

The Enzymatic Hemoglobin A1c assay for the Atellica CH Analyzer is now available to meet the increasing demand for HbA1c testing. It aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of long-term blood glucose control in patients with diabetes mellitus and identification of those at risk for developing diabetes mellitus.

Diabetes is a growing global problem and the increased demand for diabetes testing is a challenge for clinical laboratories. The new Siemens Healthineers Atellica CH Enzymatic Hemoglobin A1c Assay is a NGSP certified assay and traceable to the IFCC reference calibrators. It provides precision and accuracy needed to meet new industry standards, and the automation to improve throughput compared to traditional HPLC assays.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) impacts over 1 billion globally and is projected to become the leading cause of liver-related mortality within 20 years. Because of the increasing global burden, the lack of appropriate non-invasive testing options is a major concern.

The Siemens Healthineers Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF™) Test* on the Atellica^® IM Analyzer and ADVIA Centaur^® Immunoassay System combines three biomarkers in a proprietary algorithm, is a prognostic marker in patients with chronic liver disease, and is designed to assess the risk of disease progression and liver-related clinical events. Multiple publications have shown the ELF test is a valuable non-invasive test in multiple areas of NAFLD and NASH patient management.
